Short & Sweet Sandakphu Trek is one of the most spectacular and beginner-friendly treks in the Himalayas. On a clear day, the trail offers breathtaking views of Mt. Everest, Kanchenjunga, Lhotse and Makalu—four of the world’s highest peaks, forming the iconic “Sleeping Buddha” panorama.
The trek takes you through the beautiful Singalila National Park, where lush forests, mountain landscapes and the possibility of spotting the rare Himalayan Red Panda add to the adventure. The trail also passes through charming mountain villages, colourful wooden houses, monasteries and traditional tea houses, offering a wonderful glimpse into the unique culture of the region.
One of the highlights is the spectacular sunrise and sunset over the Himalayan peaks, creating unforgettable views throughout the journey. The route also follows the Indo-Nepal border at several points, making the experience even more special.

Perched at 3,636 m (11,929 ft), Sandakphu is the highest point of West Bengal, offering a front-row view of the Sleeping Buddha Range, where the majestic Kanchenjunga, Everest, Lhotse, and Makalu rise in harmony. Whether you’re a first-time trekker or a mountain lover seeking something soulful yet short, Sandakphu is the perfect Himalayan escape — and truly unforgettable.
Payment Terms
25% of the total amount has to be deposited as Confirmation amount.
The rest 25% amount will be cash collection on Day 1 of the journey.
50% needs to be deposited at least 7 days prior to the date of pick-up.
Booking is NOT confirmed until we receive the Advance amount.
Cancellation Terms
After Trek/Trip commences, NO REFUND.
2-7 days before, upto 40% retention of the full package amount.
One day before, upto 70% retention of the full package amount.
Before 7 days, 15% retention of the full package amount.
Cancellation request has to placed in written format. Mail/WhatsApp.
If the Trek/Trip gets cancelled due to Weather Condition or Political Unrest or Road conditions, the deposited amount will be FULLY adjusted with a Future booking with us in the next 12 months.

Begin your journey from NJP and drive towards the beautiful Himalayan foothills. Enjoy a scenic stop at Mirik Lake, surrounded by pine forests and rolling hills. Continue through charming mountain roads and small settlements towards Tumling. Reach Tumling (2,970 m), a peaceful mountain village located near the Singalila National Park. Relax and enjoy the crisp mountain air as you prepare for the trek ahead.

Start your trek through the beautiful forests of Singalila National Park. Walk through rhododendron, magnolia and bamboo forests along the scenic mountain trail. Pass the Tonglu viewpoint, offering spectacular views of the surrounding Himalayan ranges. Continue through picturesque villages and forested trails towards the tranquil Kalapokhri Lake. Reach Kalapokhri(3186 m) and settle into your mountain stay for a peaceful evening.

Begin the day's trek towards Sandakphu (3,636 m), the highest point of West Bengal. The trail gradually climbs through rugged mountain landscapes and beautiful high-altitude terrain. As you approach Sandakphu, the Himalayan panorama becomes increasingly spectacular. From the summit, enjoy magnificent views of Everest, Kanchenjunga, Lhotse and Makalu on a clear day. Wake up early to witness a spectacular sunrise illuminating the Himalayan peaks. Enjoy the magical morning views of the Sleeping Buddha and surrounding snow-capped mountains. After breakfast, begin your return journey from Sandakphu towards NJP. Relax during the scenic drive through the winding mountain roads and picturesque landscapes. Reach NJP around 5–6 PM, bringing your memorable Sandakphu adventure to an end.
